Where can I get transfer lettering in gold or silver and in different sizes and fonts? I know Mudhole has some but only have white or black in the font I want.

Ed Dao of ColorWorks in Charlotte, NC can make custom dry transfer lettering to your specs. This may be a bit more involved that what you desire but if interested you can call them at 704-568-9222.

They can make any lettering, logos, nomenclature, etc., from your own artwork. Any Pantone color or combination of colors is possible. In my opinion, these still make the finest custom rod inscriptions of all the various methods.

The local art supply house here in town has a rack full of dry transfer type lettering in a wide range of sizes and type styles, including metallic silver and gold. They also carry true gold and silver leaf in several different sized sheets. If you have decent handwriting skills a bit of practice with the leaf sheets will make quick and easy work of rod inscriptions. There is also the fine line liquid gold and silver ink pens. Again, it requires a neat hand and a bit of practice, but it works great. Just remember that whatever you use needs to get a coat of flex coat (or whatever brand you prefer) when you do the wraps.

The gold leaf strips are nice if you have decent handwriting. We carry them at Summer Moon. It looks as if we will also be getting dry
transfer sheets in all types of colors very soon.
