Question #1: Does anyone know who makes Cabelas's Fish Eagle Traditional blanks? Are they seconds? I love the action of the 9' 6wt. but the straightness of the blank is lacking. Question #2: Does anyone have experience with the quality of Dale Clemens "Custom Builder Pro Graphite Blank"? Looking at the 9.5' 4/5 wt or maybe the 5/6. Question #3: Anyone have any experience with the quality of the Lamiglas GF-108-6? Thanks, hate to invest the time and shipping in buying blanks just to send them back. Re: A few blank questions...

Gene: I have never built on one of the "Custom Builder Pro Graphite" fly blanks, but I have used the bass spinning blanks before. Top notch. John Re: A few blank questions...

My information is that the Cabela's blanks are made by St. Croix. They may or may not be identical in specification to the St. Croix brand rods. Many manufacturers use different tapers and/or materials for contract blanks. Low bid wins = You get the quality that you pay for.
