Repairing cork handle

Sure need some help. I have a friends favorate rod which has a cork handle which has become loose and spins on the blank. Is there any way to repair without having to totally take the rod apart and to have to rebuild it from the ground up?

Use a hypodermic needle and syringe to inject glue down through the cork at a number of points to the arbor underneath. A number 20 needle has worked best for me and withdraws with no tell tale hole.

What type of handle?

Spinning, casting, etc.?

Can you remove the butt cap? If you can you may be able to slide the cork off and reinstall it 'if' the blank taper is not to extreme.

The other suggestion that was given is another good alternative. A good place to get sturdy hypos is at your local Tractor Supply or other farm supply places.

I once did the same thing with Superglue, thinking it would be a temporary fix. Still going strong several years later... Surprise!
