I just got three Forecast 864-4 blanks on clearance. I have inspected each for: 1 - straightness. 2 - finish. 3 - ferrule fit. How important would you prioritize each? As you can guess, no one blank finishes first in all categories. How do you pick your favorite? Is there something else for which I need to inspect? Re: Inspecting Forecast Blanks - What's Important?

I would have to go 3,1,2 Re: Inspecting Forecast Blanks - What's Important?

i would agree with 3,1,2 2. finish, well...the fish dont care 1. straightness...if its off slightly, it can usually be considered in the guide placement/spine process, so it wont effect performance 3. ferrule fit...IMO, its gotta be good. poor fit can cause big problems over time RB Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
