Weave question

If I have a weave pattern that is fairly small say about 35 threads. And I want to make it twice as large for a much larger rod. Couldn't I just double everything? In other words make the 35 threads 70 threads and then count each two threads as one? That would keep the DO list in order but I think it might make the weave a bit ragged on the edges like older computer type.

Or maybe there would be a ratio I could apply to the DO list that would give me the right threads in this magnified weave. Any ideas? Thanks.

Fish Stix's idea is all right, but for me to keep the heigth low on my patern I just add the extra thread . What I have found is for every added thread some times I have had to add a extra turn. With weaves I have discovered it is a hit or miss with how many turns. I like weaving with silk less bulk.
Tight lines Bob
