I have in the past. I prefer U-40 Rod Bond now, it is easier to mix and spread, the PC products are too thick for my liking. Rod Bond is more jelly like in consistancy and easier to mix, as I said.

QC I use pc7 (only because it's black) for offshore tuna/shark rods.ONLY for unibutts or reel seats and gimbals. Working with this materal is to say challenging.I mix on a piece of glass using a metal spatula .I use ss measuring spoons soaked in iso alcohal Good luck

Don't use it on anything that you might want to disassembly later.
It is VERY permanent.

The heavy paste epoxies are good, but not well suited to most rod building tasks. Liquid epoxies or a gel type such as Rod Bond are easier to work with and provide similar strength.
