What do y'all (experts) do when you have a blank that has a diameter slightly smaller than your foam grip? Seems to me you can't arbor it up any way without being able to feel the arbor? Enlighten me please!! Thanks in advance, N. Re: Oversized foam??

How much space do you have to take up? If it is just slight, try using thread. Spiral it up the blank with maybe 1/16 to 1/8 inches between each thread wrap. The thread will absorb the epoxy when you mount it and you should not have any weak areas or non-supported areas. Remember you have several sizes of thread to choose from. If you can't take up the space with size E, I'd get the next smaller sized grip and go from there. Re: Oversized foam??

If you have a lot of space try using cotton chalk line. It normaly is three strand and you wrap it around the blank and try it out till you get the right fit. Take it off and reapply while saturating it with epoxy. Slide on grip and voila a tight fit. You can further refine the sizing by separating the three strands and using one or two strands. Be sure to epoxy it well as plain cotton does not do well if it gets wet. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
