Looking for an 8 ft blank that can troll bunker spoons for striped bass with wire.
Not looking to break the bank. Anything good come to mind? Thanks in advance Re: Moderate action 8ft heavy glass blanks?

Francis, A nice 7 1/2 ' E glass trolling blank makes a perfect bunker spoon rod. Find one that will handle 40 # test (of course wire line is stronger then that) but you want a lot of tip action to allow that spoon to hunt from side to side and up and down .You really don't need a monster of a blank , just use some good sic guides like Pac-Bay BBSG and Steuart Tuff Butt STB 2 which has a smooth butt ,reel seat and gimbal incorporated. Finished length is 9'. My blank of choice was a AmTek ESW 761 H but you are not able to get them anymore. A good match would be from BATSON , PAC-BAY . Check with Ron Schnieder from Schneiders Rod Shop. Add a roller top after spiral wrapping and you have one ( mostly a set of two) striper catching machines. Any other info needed just e mail me. Maybe a CRB Gator Fiberglass blank will work? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
