I've been bit by the rod building bug, and am about to embark on building a 7-piece graphite travel rod, a 8' 3/4wt, moderate/fast blank.
I've found a few different guide spacing tables that include 8' rods; does the fact that the blank is 7 pieces impact the spacing at all, beyond just trying to stick as close as possible to the spacing suggested by the tables? I.e., if a guide ends up too close to a ferrule, shift it slightly up or down the blank as needed? Thanks in advance for any insight! Re: Guide spacing on an 8', 7-piece fly rod

Yes you can use the spacing, adjusting slightly to accommodate the little additional length and ferrules. Re: Guide spacing on an 8', 7-piece fly rod

It seemed straightforward enough, but I'm still new enough at this that I didn't want to just assume Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
