Looking to build myself a rod for fishing catfish on the Red River of the North. We catch a lot of fish in the 14-20lb range. I prefer lighter tips that transition into backbone. Currently using white ugly stick catfish MHs
Will be using 3-4oz flat sinkers with cutbait on a circle hook. Rod also doubles for sturgeon up on LOTW but primary duty is catfish. It will be a spinning rod, ~7' blank. Currently looking at Rod Geeks XC731/732 , RCLB70ML/M, SWB70ML/M Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thank you Re: Channel Catfish Rod Blank Recommendations

I have the RCLB80XL and think it would be too light for your sinker weights. I also have the RCLB70ML and I think it would be heavy in power. I use it for general purpose trolling with 30# mono.
I would lean towards the RCLB70L given what you say you want. No experience with the Rod Geeks. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: Channel Catfish Rod Blank Recommendations
