Anyone yet built a NFC Carbon Air fly rod and, if so, how would you compare it to a Gamma Beta or LMX? Thanks. Re: Carbon Air vs Gamma Betta?

I only had a 5 minute look at an 8 wt. Carbon Air so this is far from a perfect review, Aleks said earlier that this blank series reminds him of the Cross Current GLX, I agree and if you haven't experienced one they are on the saltwater side of blank design, they were more heavily constructed and faster than the freshwater GLX. But the weight I felt with the Cross Current line was not in this build, weight wise it felt lighter than the freshwater GLX. This build had the REC guides including the Ceramic stripper, the first I had seen in person. Re: Carbon Air vs Gamma Betta?

Thanks. Where did you see the build? Re: Carbon Air vs Gamma Betta?

Kitsumkalum River, a tributary of the Skeena River, Terrace, BC. Was sporting a first generation Lamson Lightspeed 3.5 and a second hand Venneri (sp) reel seat he had taken off his old broken Sage, I had heard of them, but never seen one. Both the reel seat and reel were in well used condition. It was sporting a heavy sink tip so if that is not your thing my thoughts wouldn't mean much as I mentioned before. Edited 1 time(s).
