For those looking for blanks to build Crappie rods on check this blank out from VooDoo rods. I just completed a build on this blank and for me it meets all the criteria I am looking for, length, weight, backbone and price. Thank You VooDoo for putting the time in to develop this blank.

I agree. Just finished 2 and ordered 2 more. Longer rod blanks used for crappie fishing down here are difficult to find. They are very nice blanks for a very good price.

I hope yall are right! Just getting back into fishing (since 2017) and was posting for a recommendation. Someone recommended a voodoo, so I ordered one. Hope to order all the building supplies soon and components, and see if rod building is like riding a bicycle.. The first rod I built was great, but mhx discontinued the steelhead blank. Will it work fine if I just hack saw off 6" of the butt to make a 9' blank?

Could you tell me what tube size tip this blank uses? Was going to order components.

Tip is listed as a 5.5, and if I remember correctly it was right on.

Thanks. I was going to order a 4.5. Glad I read, or the fact they were out of dryers...

Received my blank today. It does look like it's going to be a good rod. As soon as mudhole gets some dryers and thread furnishing tools in, I can start building it.
