NFC ST 1304-2 IM

Has anyone built on a NFC ST 1304-2 IM? Looking for reviews. Is it light enough to protect 8lb leaders? I'm looking for something with just a hair more backbone than the 1303 Xray for a spiral wrap build. I'm hesitant to try the 4pc options with a spiral wrapped rod.

Spiral wraps are perfect for 4 piece rods and a huge amount of float rods over the years were built on 4 piece spey blanks. I would be more concerned about a guides on top rod 4 piece rod. My 4 piece, salmon rods are all spiral wrapped, they produce a no torque, stable platform a guides on top rod can never give you.
If alignment is your concern, just put alignment indicators on the blank like many fly rod builders do.
