For a while now I have been searching for two fly reel seat inserts: a dyed red burl and a dyed blue burl. I can find a couple options on Etsy that require Lemke LC1 or LC7, or Struble #20 or #24 skeletons.

Here’s the rub: I want hardware for the Blue in gunmetal or similar and the Red in antique gold or bronze. Doesn’t appear the Lemke or Struble seats come in those colors. I can find skeleton seats in the colors I like, but inserts in red and blue (dyed wood) are few and far between. Seems like I have looked at every single page on the Internet!

Does anyone know where I might find these components or someone that could make them for me.

Can you buy a skeleton you like and then have someone like Ron Weber cut you an insert?
