Is there any practical difference in wrapping with nylon vs Poly thread? So far, everything I've actually wrapped rods with has been nylon based (reg & NCP), I see some poly stuff on mud hole & wondered if it's better/worse/same.
I bought some outdoor appolstry thread at the local fabric store just to mess around with and that stuff was so slippery & stiff that it wouldn't stick to tape at all. I'm not sure what it was made of, but it was hateful to work with. Re: Nylon NCP vs Poly NCP

Charline.
Nylon thread stretches. Poly thread does not stretch. As a result, when wrapping one typically wraps with a higher tension on poly - compared to nylon. i.e. due to the stretch factor. Take care Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
