Winding Checks for 18mm and 20mm seats (no foregrip)

I am installing an 18mm reel seat and a 20mm reel seat. I want to have a winding check cap over the end of the seats that will allow the hood nut to unscrew over the threads.

Any leads as to some checks or caps that have a diameter that would work for these seats? (I have looked at many checks by several makers that list the I.D. to fit the blank, however, the O.D. is often not listed.) I would be golden if I were looking at a 16 or 17mm seat, but I want to use larger seats on these builds.

The 18mm seat mics out at an O.D. of 0.767 inches (below the threads)
The 20mm seat is at 0.850 inches.

I may have to make a custom one on the lathe.

The ones I have stop at 0.827 inches OD, but as the OD goes up so does the ID. You can make eva checks with a drill motor quickly and easily.

Not sure if these would work, but we carry these & the OD sizes are listed in the description:

The EVA foam winding checks that come with the NFC soft touch carbon fiber grips are a perfect fit for a size 18 reel seat and a pretty good fit with a size 20. They come with a 1/4” ID and need to be reamed to fit the blank. If you want to try some, let me know and I’ll give you some. The American Tackle G2 aluminum winding checks are also a good fit with a size 18 reel seat. You buy the ID you need to fit the blank.

Or you can make something out of EVA, any size you want. [www.rodbuilding.org]
