I just built the MB 7108 Xray as a conventional casting setup. Here was the spacing I used. 13 guides not including tiptop. Spacing from tip down.

The guide train I used was Fuji with a KW10 as butt guide, then a KW5.5, Then I believe (3) KB 4.5's and the remainder KT 4.5's. These are very small guides (micros) so takes some extras to keep the line off the blank when flexing. If you are using larger conventional guides you might not need as many. Do a mock layout and be sure to do 2-line static load test and that will tell you whether you have enough. Here's info on 2-line static load test.. Line touching the blank in a deep bend doesn’t hurt a thing. As long as it doesn’t dip below in a bow string effect. Personally I’d rather save the tip weight. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
