I'm trying to find out who sells decorative carbon fiber type sleeves that go between the front and rear grip on a split grip for cosmetic purposes. Only thing I have found are the Fuji Decorative reel inserts that would probably work. Does anyone know who sells something similar?

I don’t believe I can mention non-sponsors on here but do a google search “carbon fiber tubing” and many options will appear, many more options than rod building sites offer.

Braided CF tubing is very tricky to apply. You can get 3 foot lengths in various diameters. It expands when slipped down the blank to its final resting place so get a few different sizes. Once it is in place, use 1/4" tape on both ends to get the required length. Pull it tight making sure not to twist the sleeve. Soak the sleeve in PG. When it is almost dry, carefully trim the excess using the applied tape as a guide. This process will eliminate the fraying that is inherent to CF braid when it is cut. 2 or 3 coats of epoxy will give a nice finish.

Michael, I don't believe anyone ever said we shouldn't mention non-sponsors on here, only that we should remember them when purchasing products. We all try to do this whenever possible. Sometimes that may not be possible. Some weird stuff ends up on custom rods at times! Lol.
