Snook/tarpon spinning rod

Good evening all, quick question regarding guide sizes. I’ve got an 8ft 10-20lb blank I’m looking to pair with a 5000 size reel (haven’t decided might be a saragosa or stradic), and trying to find some recommendations on the choker guide size and runners. I’m pretty familiar with the reduction guides in between. I will be running 50-80lb leader with 30-50lb braid, I’m thinking a 25klh choker guide and 8s for runners but not sure which runners to go with or choker (also double vs single foot guides). Just seeing if anybody’s got good sizing recommendations for snook builds they’ve used, as I will be building quite a few for myself soon and haven’t had much experience using these size guides. Thanks in advance and tight lines.

Hey Austin, if you want to go with Fuji KLH guides, most people say that the 2nd guide should be half the size of the first. So, in your case you could do a 25, 12, 8L, to 8 runners. You also might have better luck with KW guides. The blank is a little light for typical snook fishing. Usually a 15-30lb or 20-40lb blank would be used, especially with the 30-50lb braid and 50. If you want to go with KW Guides, here are a few popular trains
KW 30 Double foot, KW single foot 20,12, KT runners 10 and 8s
KW Double foot 30,25, 20, 12, 10s or 8s
KS Double foot 30, 20, 16, 12, 10s, 8s

Hope this helps. Here's all the fuji guides
