running guides for slip bobbers?

I was wondering if any of you have thoughts on if Fuji style KT-KB guides might be better (worse or about the same) than regular runners to pass bobber stops or knots? I am intending to use with 8 lb. mono or 8 lb fireline. Will probably use size 6 guides and tip top.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Depends on the size of the bobber stop knot or bobber stop you use. The bigger the knot or the stop the bigger the running guide you need. I use beads with very small holes and this allows for the knot to be smaller. A size 6 runner will work for most medium to small stopper knots. However, will need to empirically determine which size runner work best for the size knots and/or stoppers you are using. What’s small to you may not be small to you and vice versa.

I've had good luck with your size line down to 4 mm guides. Like Norm said, you use what fits in your situation.

Thanks Norm and Spencer. I think a more pointed (picky) question would be: would you use a Fuji KT-KB style, Seaguide XOG-N---XOG-W, or would you use Fuji L, Seaguide MKG-XMG runners for slip bobbers?

Since most slip bobber rods are lighter powered rods, I normally use the SeaGuide MKG runners. For their size they have a larger ID than ceramic guides, plus they are light and inexpensive.

Thanks Norm. That is what I was looking for.
