Carbon fiber grips for saltwater

Is anyone aware of any pre made carbon fiber grips that are 1.06 or larger in O.D. I have been making them myself however they aren’t coming out as well as I would like especially in terms of keeping the carbon fiber straight and non distorting. It seems all the pre made stuff is designed for fresh water rods.
Thanks!

Why would it seem like the commercial grips are for FW only? Every other material over the last century sure hasn't been. NFC and others make 14 inch salmon grips out of the stuff. It's on the Lamiglas, Stryker, Edge, Talon, etc. rods and has been for some time.

mike,
The first place I looked, Batson Enterprises, has a 1.06in OD X .35in ID X 13in long straight CF foregrip #FCRG13-350.
You may be correct that there are probably more FW CF grips than seen on the ocean. Maybe the same scenario as the nonexistence of offshore spiral wrapped rods out here in SoCal = stubbornness. I have never seen a SW CF grip out here and the only spiral wrapped rod I’ve seen, other than the ones I have built, was on a tackle store rack (the owner of the shop said it had been there for over 3 years). But to tell you the truth, I still prefer X-flock shrink tubing over cork tape or possibly firm EVA, ESPECIALLY for a rail rod!

I see the Batson 13 inch grip is good to see! I wish they had something shorter like 6-8 inch with the same OD as that. Thanks for pointing that out!

NFC makes a 7 inch grip to your specs.

Mike,

American Tackle has Saltwater Carbon Fiber handles. Give Kevin Landers a call and he can tell you their sizes and lengths.
