I just finished sort of a rebuild.
I built a 9' 5wt for my wife, and really did not like the quality of the workmanship. Over the past few months I removed the guides and wraps and reassembled the rod. I epoxied the wraps last night, and just got off a work zoom call. I took a little break and took the rod outside into the sun to see what I had. it's- by my standard, just a rod to fish with- beautiful. Almost every step of the way on the rebuild I have been helped by reading posts on the board and asking questions. Many thanks! Re: Thanks to the Board

Tom,
As you, I have gained a WEALTH of information from this site, graciously and generously offered by very experienced and well respected veteran rod builders. The information, ideas, suggestions, (and even opinions) stem from a very large and varied base of people from different walks-of-life with a common interest and passion = rod building. Such a varied base provides many methods and techniques to approach rod building issues which benefits all; heck, even the veterans can learn something they might not have thought of before. As I have stated many times on this site, “I’m here to learn”. Just remember that there is a wrong way to do something, the correct way, and then there is your way!!! I am certain that your show of appreciation is well received by all. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Thanks to the Board
