Has anyone built or cast one of the NFC linen rods? I am wondering how they compare to glass or cane?

I have built and fished one when first developed. First of all, it is much lighter than either fiberglass or bamboo. The action is similar to bamboo.

david and Phil,
I was unaware that such an animal even exists! I am very intrigued as to what the advantages are. If either of you care to elaborate = I am here to learn.

NFC had a Go Fund Me to develop the linen blanks some years ago.

Phil,
Thanks for the insight.
Norman,
Thanks for the link and info = interesting.
Nonetheless, I would still like to view particulars rather than perceived premonitions or promos. Does anyone else have any hands-on experience with linen-fabric based rods / blanks? As stated earlier, I’m here to learn.

They sold a limited edition of the blanks this year, and offered a few again recently. [northforkcomposites.com]

I’ve cast the 8’-2” 4wt. It’s “soft”, very deep loading, smooth. The only things that I could say it is close to:
Tom Morgan Rodsmiths E Glass 804-2
Original Mike McFarland Spruce Creek blanks, his first generation series of these blanks were very soft.

The finished rod I cast was very light in the hand compared to those two E Glass models I listed above.
