Angler’s Roost / Johnny Kuehn

The late Johnny Kuehn of Angler’s Roost had an informative web catalog and was a very interesting guy to talk to for bamboo beginners. If you asked the right questions, or perhaps in the right way, he was willing to give detailed help. I miss him. Has anyone come along in recent times to fill the void by organizing, explaining and offering the offshore beginner level bamboo blanks in one easily readable catalog or web format?

Johnny Kuehn was an unique character, going to be difficult to find someone else like him. The Ye Olde English Fly Shop sells much the same things as did the Angler’s Roost, including classic flyrod blanks. Not the easiest website to maneuver through, but a lot of interesting stuff there.
