Can anyone point me in the right direction on what size guides to use on a NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) blank? Re: NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) Guide Recommendations?

Fuji KR with an RV stripper. Size your runners according to line and purpose. IE RV, KB, (KB or KT), KT runners.
If you don't like the RV then replace it with a KW. If you are looking for ring sizes then sharing what line and other details may be required. I typically run down to a 4.5 or 5KT. Re: NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) Guide Recommendations?

You can use the RV6 instead of the KW10 if you want. Re: NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) Guide Recommendations?

I’ve built several X-ray Neo MB765 as KR casting rods. For fresh water use, I use the corrosion control stainless guides. I use a KW10 butt guide followed by a KW5.5, then three KB5s and five KT5s as runners for a total of ten guides. The tip top was a matching LG tip top. For salt water use, I like titanium guides. I replace the KW10 with an RV6 and use a matching KG tip top. The RV6 only comes in a titanium frame, and titanium guides are very expensive. If you like the look of the titanium RV6 you can match it with polished SS Sic guides, and save some money. I have not found any performance difference between using a KW10 vs an RV6. The RV6 just gives a unique look.
For a low profile reel I normally place the butt guide about 19 to 21” in front of the reel. For the running guide closest to the tip top, I normally place it about 9 to 10 centimeters from the tip top. The remaining guides are placed progressively between these two guides. Spacing is then fine tuned using a two line static test. When you are setting up your guide train, try it as a spiral wrap. Take it out and cast it, you will be surprised how well it works. If you don’t like it nothing is lost, just rotate the guides back to the top. Norm Re: NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) Guide Recommendations?

For 20 lb. fluorocarbon I would use a 6 mm ring tip top no matter what size guides I used. Re: NFC MB 765-1(X-Ray NEO) Guide Recommendations?

I like the look and line path of a tip top .5 to a full size bigger than the runners. Thank same size tip usually sits lower and doesn't suit my eye. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
