Penn Spinfisher VI reel seat size

Hello!
Planing to build an inshore rod for s size 3500 Penn Spinfisher VI reel.
I don’t have the reel yet but want to start ordering the components.

Anyone know which size real seat would fit best?
Also would u recommend aluminum, graphite or carbon?

Going to build on RodForge NSB-I-70MHF and give their blanks a try.

Thank you for any assistance.

Most spinning and casting reels have standardized sizes. In other words, the Penn Spinfisher 3500 has the same sized foot as the 1500, 2500, 4500, etc. or whatever else size they come in.

Typically you'd want to size the seat to fit your hand. Anything from an 18 to 24 should easily hold the reel stable and secure.

Thank you Tom!
It’s been years since I handled a SW reel and back then they seemed much larger overall.
Was worried the feet wouldn’t fit in an 18.

Reel seats should fit your hand, not the reel, 20 - 22 mm for hand comfort, guarantee all reels will fit. Type is up to you, Pipe seats from any company to the left similar to the Fuji DPSM never jam, never fail.

I suspect an 18 would be fine in terms of fitting the reel feet but I wouldn't want to fish a saltwater reel with a tiny size 18 seat in my hand.
