Since Batson makes virtually the same exact grips, I would think getting everything from one source would save you some money on shipping, etc. It can all ride in the tube with the blanks. Re: Blue gill rods

Why I wouldn't build with this guide layout the following might give you some ideas.
[getbitoutdoors.com] I tend to agree with Spencer. One source it. I have fond memories of bluegill fishing at Reelfoot Lake. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: Blue gill rods

The NFC G016C01 is a 9” grip designed for use with a casting trigger reel seat. It will not fit aTVS 16 reel seat. NFC G642C01 or G643C01 rear grips are designed to fit the the TVS16 reel seat. Could also use a hidden thread hood sleeve for the foregrip. If you want a full length grip could use either the VSS of IPS grips.

Use a larger seat. You want the seat to fit your hand, not the blank. This would be for spinning reel use. If you're using a casting reel then a smaller seat will be okay if you're palming the reel.

I use TVS 16 seats and nobody complains. Tastes may differ. Re: Blue gill rods

The TVS 16 reel seat is my least favorite ever. Too small to fill the hand properly and uncomfortable for me. It is actually the very reel seat that most drove me back into rod building. It really aggravated the arthritis in my thumb. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
