Does anyone know of someone that makes decals for vintage rebuilds? I have a customer with a couple Lew's Laser Graphite Speed Sticks LS4-156. The decals have all faded. Re: Reissue/Recreated Vintage Decals

Decal Connection can do wonders, but would likely need some artwork to go by.

Hello Sterling.
My best guess would be "Decal Connection" <÷ Tight Wraps & Tighter Lines. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: Reissue/Recreated Vintage Decals

Lew's is still a viable company with copyrights, getting Decal Connection, or any other company to reproduce copyrighted material without permission probably has little chance of success. Your customer has some legwork to do. Re: Reissue/Recreated Vintage Decals

Of course, I'm not your customer, but if I were, I'd want you to make it perform like a new rod, but have the look of one with normal wear and tear for its age. Part of that would be leaving the faded decals alone. I think that'd be pretty cool, actually. Now that I think about it, I wonder if anyone makes distressed / vintage looking components that perform like state of the art stuff does? I'd build one! Re: Reissue/Recreated Vintage Decals

Sterling,
Decal Connection may be your best source = they can do just about anything regarding decals. They even have many vintage logos on file BUT they are very respectful of copyrights and trademarks, and rightfully (possibly unfortunately for us) so. I applaud their respectfulness! I have been down that road with Chuck at Decal Connection and while I obtained permission from the new owner of Sabre Rods, it just wasn’t feasible / practical to pursue any further = how much is your customer willing to pay for a repop decal? Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
