Maybe 17 years ago I bought a collection of rod blanks from Andy Dear when he was bringing in CTS blanks, I bought a ML fast action in white that I built for my new daughter in-law and built in her wedding colors, two medium X Fast 3 piece travel blanks, you got to see the Golden Plum in use, a striking color, and a pearl white 3 wt. Affinity One fly blank. I built the travel blanks as spinning rods to use in AK when the wind or WX doesn't smile on my use of a fly rod, I chose XF to get the softer tips. These rods have pretty much caught everything in AK but Halibut and large bottom fish and been used on steelhead, salmon, bass, flounder, shad, striped bass. here on my home waters in the Pac. NW. CTS and R. B. Meiser got together and developed his and their DH switch and spey rods about this same time period, Bob's rods are phenomenal. All my rods are still enjoyed and in rotation as priced gear, I have no doubt in the quality and R & D put into their blanks. Edited 2 time(s). Last edit at 02/11/2023 01:02PM by Spencer Phipps. CTS blanks are in my opinion one of the very best.
I just returned from a visit to their plant in NZ and i was impressed with their production processes and quality control.. I only build fly rods, so no opinion re bass blanks. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/11/2023 04:12PM by Phil Erickson. Re: Cts bass blanks

Brandon,
The Freshwater line is new - so I haven't tried them yet. But I have a customer who did purchase some - he has not received them yet. Will let RB.org the results asap. Herb CTS Re: Cts bass blanks
