Good point, Tom. We get into a lot of confusion through the use of the wrong terms or not specifying correctly and accurately what we are talking about. Re: Micro guide setup

A little reading over past posts goes a long, long way. Even if only in helping to understand terminology. The world is at your fingertips, just gotta look. Re: Micro guide setup

Jonathan, I actually built that blank for myself with micros as well, but ran a spiral wrap on it using the MB706-1 HM layout from NFC. I taped up the MB706-1 HM casting layout, and although the 8th position guide wasn't an issue, I didn't like the line touch on the 3-5 guide positions. Instead of doing an 11 guide Loomis MBR844 guide spacing copy, I went with with the spiral wrap (addressed the line touch issue in full, and with only 7 guides total).
Guides were as follows from stripper to tip, all Fuji: KW7 / KW6 / KB5 / KB4.5 / KB4.5 / KB4.5 / KB4.5 I also did this on a MB736-1 HM, and it came out great. Hope this helps. If you haven't done a spiral wrap yet watch the Mudhole video on it, that helped me a ton understanding the guide placement & angles. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
