I've not built on any NFC blanks as of yet - and of course am attracted to the X-Ray LMX line - particularly the DS 721 as a possible ' all around walleye' and even smallmouth bass in northern lakes kind of blank. The MB692 has my attention though - and I can't find much for reviews on this one. Can anyone offer their thoughts on this blank, good applications, better NFC blanks in the lineup for the same use, etc?
Thanks! Re: NFC MB692 (Delta LMX)

Can't say anything about the 692, but I have built a dozen or so 703-1 Deltas. They look similar. Awesome blank for speckled trout both in the casting and spinning configuration. Specks are salt water walleye. Same lures, rods, and line. Re: NFC MB692 (Delta LMX)

I was looking at one of the MB692's, myself. I built a spinning rod on the MB662 Delta. I'm throwing 14lb fireline to an 8lb fluoro leader, typically. It's a slick little spinning rod that I throw a lot of plastics and finesse jigs on. 3/16 oz seems to be the sweet spot on my build, as 1/8 is a little light and 1/4 bogs it down a bit, but both the rod will handle both. Hope that helps. Re: NFC MB692 (Delta LMX)

Dido on the 703-1 it’s one of my fav’s for jerkbaits and poppers. I built as a casting rod and can cast 1/4oz baits easily. Delta blanks are good but for a drop shot go with an X-ray it’ll be more responsive. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
