Over the years several of my "closeout" or "seconds", or "by the foot" rod blank sources have dried up. For years a hole-in-the- wall place in Sloatsburg NY was my go to place. Most recently another hole in the wall place in Satellite Beach FL that went out of business a year or two ago. That place was wondaful as they had old Fenwick, Sabre, Browning and other blanks amongst the stacks of blanks. Most were moderately priced: a few bucks. I use them for stand alone rods as well as parts blanks - a tip section here, a butt there, lengthen a handle, a splice there.

I see pictures of the annual rodbuilders expo, and note that they have vendors that have steeply discounted blanks, some selling by the $ per foot.

Wondering if there are any places in Florida that fit this description, or, I suppose mail order places though like 2x4's at the big box lumber stores I like to pick through them...... .

Thoughts? Suggestions?
