Can someone recommend a blank designed for vertically jigging spoons that weigh 1-3oz?
This rod is intended for jigging Lake Trout and Whitefish in freshwater (along with salmon in the Great Lakes or other inland bodies of water). Good examples of spoons that we use can be seen here [jonahjigs.com] In order of most commonly used weights, it is majority 2oz with some 1 oz and rarely 3oz. I would prefer USA made and definitely need a multi-piece rod as I can find some 1 pc that the saltwater guys use. THANK YOU Re: Blank for Vertically Jigging Spoons 1-3oz (30-100gr)

Talk with NFC about their BB 806-2 (IM) back bouncing blank, I myself see no reason it won't work after using a similar G Loomis blank for decades. It is on sale for a real good price right now. I bottom bounce 6 ounces with it no problem and it casts excellent, these blanks were some of the first swimbait blanks in use. I do know it will jig a spoon in the 3 oz. range. Edited 1 time(s).
