I did a search but could not find any info on this product. It is called Pro-Rod polyurethane matte varnish. I picked up a small bottle from Mud Hole thinking I’d use it on a lower section of a rod. Unlike 2 part epoxies and thread wraps this is a water-based single solution. Has anyone had any experience with this? Anything I should watch out for? Are there special techniques to applying it? Being water-based I wonder about its durability. Re: Seymo Matt Varnish

If you went to the hardware store to buy some exterior varnish and saw some high-end company product that was water based, would you be just as concerned? Seymo is that company in the rod building world, they have been around for many decades selling good products. A well-respected European company. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
