It's the finish that works for you. Seriously. If your technique is slow you might be better served by a finish with an extended open time. If, like yours truly, you put on way more than is needed then wick off the excess with the aid of some heat, you can maybe use a higher viscosity epoxy with a bit faster cure time. If you're building on a bamboo blank you ought at least consider a long oil, spar varnish.

Truth is that all epoxies do the same thing, spar does what it does, and Permagloss does its thing. The best is what is best for you.

You have to figure that out for yourself..That,s what most builders end up doing..

If you're starting out, go with the standard flex coat and you'll be fine. From there you can change if you want from a great starting point.

All the major brands of wrap epoxy are good! In using them many of us find characteristics in one that we prefer. Only time and usage will detrmine that for you.
