Date: September 01, 2013 10:00AM Posting a few pics of handles I built recently using the hybrid carbon fiber sleeve. Instead of a solid color undercoat, I painted a fade from red to orange to yellow to match one of my favorite thread color schemes: Black with Red, Orange and Yellow trim. But you could use any colors you want. As long as you use the hybrid sleeve with natural fiberglass, you can see your undercoat. This sequence attempts to show the grip from top to side to bottom. It is red on top, yellow on bottom, and orange along the sides. Turned out exactly like I hoped it would. Thanks to Capt. Mike Pedersen at Riley Rods and Bob McKamey at Mudhole for all their help and advice. Also have been getting a lot of comments about how you can't get good fit and finish with seats and butt caps using the carbon fiber grips. I disagree. Fit and finish is about quality control. There is definitely a learning curve, but there is no reason your fit and finish can't be just as good with these grips and components as they are with cork or EVA. You basically get a 360 degree view of this grip and seat - I am not hiding anything. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
