Date: June 05, 2007 03:26PM I use the Jigging Spoon Form or CC-Form wire from “Do-it Moldsâ€. You can make two hook keepers from one wire form. I cut the form wire in half then I use a pair of needle nose pliers to make the hook keeper. Measuring about 3 mm from the round end, bend at 90 degrees. Then measuring about 2 mm, bend at 90 degrees away from round end. Next, I measure about 10 mm then cut. You can adjust measurements to fit your needs. Once you get wire form the way you want, you can grind the ends at a bevel to flatten the end where the thread starts on the keeper. You can also take a hammer to flatten the feet of the hook keeper. Just be sure to file or use a sharpening stone to clean up rough and sharp edges so not to damage the thread when wrapping (same as preparing a guide). I hope this helps if there are any questions please let me know. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
