Sorry that I don't understand the intended use of these guides as I'm not familiar with carp fishing methods. Are the stainless rings compatible with braided lines? Re: Carp rod builders?

What are the distinguishing features of a "carp rod"? I imagine they are similar to those of a "catfish rod" - but I am unfamiliar with either of these species-specific rods. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
