The standards are in grains, and your lines could be tested to see if they comply with the standards. Not interested in your casting style or line selections, I'm simply challenging one who always gripes about having no data to provide some on the products has in the past extolled. Walk the talk.

It is the task of a product maker [not users] to provide accurate information about the product - and to provide this information before, not after the purchase. Until about 60 years ago the "weight" of fly lines was indicated by letters, as in a B-C-B line, which provided precious little information. Fly line manufacturers switched to a system of numbered line weights within certain limits to categorize fly lines. Today many fly line marketers ignore the actual weight of fly lines. They sell a line marked as, say, a five weight but which weighs in the upper range of a six weight line and advertise their product as "the most powerful five weight line on the market" or some such guff. Building a fishing rod and matching a line with it isn't rocket science, but there are those who feel superior and those who profit from disguising and withholding information from new rod builders. One man's ignorance is another man's profit.
