Been waiting forever for polished SIC double-footed K guides…
And I’m getting no answers from MH…

Dennis.
It is my understanding that Fuji dropped their polished and black K series frames and replaced them with CC (matte silver), BC (matte grey) available in either Alconite or Fazlite rings or GC (gun metal) with only SiC rings. You may be waiting a very long time for polished frames! Hopefully, Jim Ising of Anglers Resource or Norman Miller will reply to verify.

Mark is correct the Fuji polished and black stainless steel frames have been discontinued, and replaced with their corrosion control CC, BC, and GC stainless frames. They do have the polished and black (T2) titanium KW guides with Sic rings, but they cost more.

Dennis,
Everything in the world has been stuck and will continue to be stuck on container ships for the next 6 months.

Be patient. All things come to those who are patient and wait.

Polished frames are available in SiC rings along with Gunmetal (GM), Titanium (T) and Black Titanium (T2). The only frames gone are standard stainless and black.

Polished stainless has always gotten very high marks for corrosion resistance due to the level of polish Fuji provides on this frame selection. As has been explained many times on this forum, the higher the polish the stronger the vapor barrier and the more corrosion resistant the end product becomes. Fuji's Polished Stainless has a terrific record for decades as being highly corrosion resistant.

Delivery is a combination of so many things it's hard to pinpoint. We have had materials shipments bog down on the infeed side of the manufacturing process, labor issues, Rolling electricity brown-outs in China...you name it. Oddly, I do not recall that we have any containers sitting offshore waiting to get into port. I do know that we continue to "bite the bullet" on air shipments to try and keep our customer service level high. Even then, shipping is a shot in the dark these days.

There have been many news stories explaining the reasons we see things as they are world wide, 70% of the US economy before the pandemic was service industry related, when people stayed home, or closer to home, that money went to purchasing goods, or in the bank. When the purchasing increased, there was and is no easy, or fast way to transfer all that demand, the industries had a blank slate, they had no idea what the people would be purchasing and no way to expand temporarily that made any fiscal sense since we still have no idea how long this will go on. If you buy long term, long life expensive machinery, buildings, and infrastructure you would like an indication you will need it 2 years from now.
