I `m having difficulty finding black guides for saltwater light rods. I know Fuji no longer makes them but other companies like American Tackle and Pac Bay aren`t stocking their guides to wholesalers. I`m only looking for quality name brand guides for my builds. Re: black guides

Personally I think Fuji screwed up big time. My customers are buying into the fact that gray is the new black in guides. Going to be interesting what the big rod manufactures do about it ????
Those are great looking guides Don !!!! Re: black guides

Peter,
Fuji’s new Corrosion Control treatment in the “BC” finish is a very dark, matte grey, almost black. Personally, I really like the look of them as well as the “CC” (matte silver) BETTER than the black or polished previous offerings. The old powder-coated black coating could (and would) chip, leaving the guides to look quite dingy after time. While I commend Fuji for developing their new Corrosion Control treatment due to it being MORE corrosion resistant and MORE ecologically-friendly as well, I suspect it is MORE-cheaper for them also. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: black guides

I use many of the black guides from American Tackle, and have been vey pleased with the fit and finish. I can't wait to try out their new Vortex Air guides in matte black! Re: black guides

Fuji has black Titanium with SIC rings in a variety of frames. They are very high end quality guides. They are not solid black though, like the painted ones but they are dark. I also don't think you can go wrong Alps or American Tackle. Here is a link from Rod Builders Warehouse for black SeaGuide guides.
