I've been asked to build a mooching rod using a North Fork SA905-2 Delta series blank.
The reel will be a Daiwa M-One or Shimano 200GT I just want to make sure I have it all covered off in terms of sizing 20-16-10-8-6-6-6-6-6-6-6 tip top with a spare guide in the 6 (will be single foot guides, 20-16-10-8 doubles) Or should I drop the 20 / 10 and go 16-8-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6-6 Tip top This will be for the customers kids for salmon 10-20lbs. Thanks in advance! Re: Mooching Guide Set up

Looked again seems the guide spacing is 8 guides from North Fork rod is 9'1" but will have a longer handle.
So thinking 16-10-6-6-6-6-6-6(6) tip top Re: Mooching Guide Set up

Depends on your grip design, how long is your rear grip? You need to have a starting point where the reel will set to set the stripper. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
