Do surf rod manufacturers glue down their shrink tubing?

I'm looking at getting a Penn Squadron or Okuma's equivalent and customizing the handle configuration... but if the shrink tubing is glued down, I'd rather not mess with them. Re: Do surf rod manufacturers glue down their shrink tubing?

A question to go with shrink tube question ?? Dz the MFG of the tubing but on the in side of tube a glue ? I read some where the place in NH. that makes a lot of the tubing puts a glue on the inside of it , an when heated it is activated an DZ a great job in holding it in place ,could be wrong , just asking ? They do have adhesive lined heat shrink tubing. But no, not all heat shrink tubing has it. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
