Ice rod handle question

Question for everyone... I have been using bands to attach reels to my ice rods for several years now. They’re fine, for the most part. I have been continually seeing posts about using silicone tape recently and decided to get some. After looking into it for a bit I noticed lots of colors are now available as well as clear. I make my own handles and some are rather intricate. I purchased some of the “clear” tape but after opening and applying it, it seems to be more milky colored. Not what I was looking for to let the cork work show. My question is do any of you guys/gals know of any silicone tape that is clear? Thanks for your help!

Chuck,
For all of the ice rods that I have ever built, I use black electrical tape to tape the reels to the rod grip. i.e. I don't have any intricate cork or grip work in the area where the reel will be mounted. Good luck Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
