What are some of the techniques and secrets for gluing small pieces of EVA together? I am trying to make some checkerboard rings, and the contact cement gets everywhere and sticks to everything. Just looking for perhaps a simpler way to accomplish this without making a huge mess. Is there a trick or some other glue that is used initially? I was thinking super glue, but didnt know how that would work. Re: Gluing Small Pieces of EVA

Contact Cement remains the best product for gluing these pieces. Try to employ a pick or tweezers for manipulating the pieces rather than using your fingers.
There is another thing you can do that may help move the pieces into place - after the cement has dried on the piece, you can apply a thin wet coat on one of the mating pieces and this makes it easier to slide them into place. It'll still dry and cement the pieces in place. ................... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
