I'm getting ready to order my components for the NFC X-Ray 721 Drop Shot blank I just got & was wondering which guides everyone would recommend. Thanks

It’s basically a matter of personal preference, both will work. However, I much prefer the Fuji KR concept for both it’s versatility, as well as, its performance, but that’s just my preference. I’m sure others will agree and disagree.

By versatility I'm sure Norman means the variety of ring materials, frame materials, and finishes that the Fuji offers. With the KR software on AnglersResource.net it is a piece of cake to lay out the reduction train. And their two line method of locating the runners is easy, too. The two line method is easier than the one line because the guides do not load the rod, and they can be moved without unloading the rod. I'm so used to doing spin rods this way, and so used to getting good results, I don't even test cast any more. I can never improve on the recommendation. Re: Spinning Guides Fuji KL-H or MicroWave?

Personal choice, If I'm casting I use prefer the MicroWave's. I cast with my dropshot setup as well, Many others do as well. Your call really. Re: Spinning Guides Fuji KL-H or MicroWave?

I would go with Fuji KL-H but I don't think the Micro Wave set would be bad either. The Micro Wave sets work very good and are easier to set up. I do know of some test that were done of the two different guide set ups on the same blank, real seat and grips. The Fuji set up cast slightly farther on average by about 3' to 6', that in my opinion, is not enough to mater. It was 100 cast of each with many being equal distance. It is really just a preference. I would use the Microwave finesse set, or the Black on Black Airwaves. Both are phenomenal, and mush of the guide spacing is already laid out for you. Re: Spinning Guides Fuji KL-H or MicroWave?
