So I have this Daiwa Saltist 9'2 west coast surf outfit that I had a guide insert break ,2nd guide from the tip. Daiwa touts these at SeaGuide Saltwater Guides, they look like Fuji KTs to me. Anybody know what these are? Thanks in advance!

Yes they most likely are and they do look a lot like Fuji KT guides. You can get SeaGuide guides from Rod Builders Warehouse on the right. How did it happen? I started recently using them and would like to know of any issues. Re: Guide replacement question

I reeled my tiny spro swivel too far . Operator error. I throw SP minnows among other lures with this rod and I love it! The rod is solid. Components are good. And thank you yes,I just emailed Rod Builders Warehouse and Seaguide for the model runner I need. Easy fix,and maybe I'll be more careful !

Robert,
If you throw the guide, don't throw it so far that you can't find it again. Re: Guide replacement question

As far as I can tell there are only two reasons for choosing a particular guide: its size and its price. Durability and performance are never mentioned, much less proven - leaving size and pice. Re: Guide replacement question

I get you. I'm that way too, even though I am certain that any guide with the same dimensions will perform the same I still worry about the appearance of the guide, although I am quite certain nobody but me will notice or care?! Re: Guide replacement question
