Looking for feedback from anyone who has used these two blanks - haven't held either - both 7'MH. Will be build with casting - split Winn grips, ECS seat, and Alconite guides (prob K's with size 5.5 runners as I run 30lb braid to leader most of the time). Looking for overall sensitivity and how they balance with a 10" rear handle. This is a rod for me personally and I will be building without any 'bling'. Maybe a trim band on the stripper and on my winding checks but looking to keep the build clean. Thanks...
Option 1: RodGeeks C470MHF Option 2: Liberty MB703.75-USA I would have already ordered the RG but they can't ship right now and I need to get started. Thanks Re: Blank comparison Liberty vs RodGeeks

What are you using the rod to throw? Anything specific or just general purpose. Have you looked at the NFC MB 705-1 (IM), may wanna check that out as well. Plus it's $75. My buddy loves the one I built for him. This being said i do really like the Library blanks i have so far, light and the smoke color goes great with black grey alconites. Cant go wrong either way. Thank you! I will check those out. Are the weights published accurate? They are listing them at 2oz - that's 1/3 less than the Liberty. Re: Blank comparison Liberty vs RodGeeks

The Rod Geeks B470MH has an IP=818g and AA ~72; the NFC MB705 IM has an IP=566g and AA=71. Although both are lusted as MH the Rod Geeks is more powerful than the NFC. Different manufacturers rate their rod differently.
I don’t have any info on the Liberty blank but assume it’s IP would be some where between the other two. With a similar fast AA Norm Re: Blank comparison Liberty vs RodGeeks

Hugely helpful - that tells me that I would have to step up in power on the NFC to get to where I need to be. I think I'm going to give the Liberty a shot - I like dealing with GetBit anyway. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
