I recently removed my failed attempt of a closed wrap because my spacing was off. I want to try either a St John's cross or a Spider wrap this time around. I recently got the Decorative Wraps book so I SHOULD be able to do either. I have 4 different shades of blue I was going to use for the wrap in an attempt to have the colors fade as well. What are the opinions of these wraps? Is one easier/difficult to do? Re: St John's Cross or Spider?

Ken - have you mastered the basic cross wraps like diamond and chevron?

I believe I have, yes. I have done several cross wraps and chevrons. My last wrap was a reverse chevron(which I didn't know I did until I got the book) :) Re: St John's Cross or Spider?

Those wraps not hard. Just keep good track of the plus one on the pass you are on to make sure all passes get the same treatment Freddwhy (Rapt-Ryte) Re: St John's Cross or Spider?

I plan on creating a spreadsheet of my passes when Im ready to do the wrap. This way I can check off each one as I move along. The chevrons I have done are all same number of passes, just with different threads. Placed an order with Mudhole for some essential items for the wrap so Ill start once I receive the order.
