Which Belt/Harness for Stand-Up Rod?

While not an actual, physically speaking, rod building issue, I am in need of purchasing a fighting belt and harness. I built a 30-80lb stand-up rod designed around the use of a belt/harness which puts the rod butt at groin height. What brand do you prefer and why? While my research has revealed lots of opinions and sales hype, I am hoping to get unbiased opinions through actual use from those of you on the rodboard. Although personal preference may certainly apply, why do you use, or suggest to a customer, a particular set-up?
The last time I went tuna fishing in Mexico, I was in my early 30s and fortunate enough to bring home over well 150lbs of Blue Fin Fillets from 60lb fish. The rented rod & reel (without even a belly-button) did their job but I was pinned against the rail and ended up black & blue from belly-button to groin. At 65 years old now, I realize I am a senior rather than a stud-muffin. I have built what should be a very effective rod but need to compliment it with a proper belt/harness. Frankly, I am leaning towards the Aftco Socorro belt coupled to the Magforce harness simply for two reasons; 1) I trust anything Aftco produces, 2) Theirs was the only video explaining proper adjustment. Your opinions and insight will be graciously received. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. I have 2 on the boat - An AFTCO Maxforce and a Braid Brute Buster - I think I prefer the Braid a little bit more than the AFTCO because I like the Braid Butt Plate better. It is wider than the AFTCO, and I can move my knees a bit easier Re: Which Belt/Harness for Stand-Up Rod?

Fred,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. Your points are well taken and appreciated. These are the type of things I need to learn from people with actual use of belts and harnesses before investing over $200.00. Not that I discount Fred’s remarks, certainly the contrary, but I was anticipating, at least hoping for, more feedback from others covering a wider array of belts/harnesses. I can't be the only one on the site who switches between trout and tuna. Please help! Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! This question, to me, would be best addressed to a So Cal site such as Allcoast. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
